YOUR EARNING FUND INFORMATION

Membership fees and High Holy Day pledges cover only a portion of Synagogue expenses. Making additional donations that fall under the umbrella of funds that give you Earning Fund credit is a great way to support NTEH and have some fun in June. Here’s how it works. Make a contribution to one of the 3 funds that comprise the Earning Fund: (1) a direct donation to the Century Club – the entire donation is credited, (2) acknowledging your Simcha events and Memorials etc. by sending out Bee Levy Happy Day Fund cards – the portion over the office/card cost is credited and (3) soliciting ads for, and also placing ads yourself in the AD Book. Then in June, as schools let out and the summer lull begins, attend the lovely and entertaining Closing Affair to socialize with all your NTEH friends, knowing that your extra donations made through these funds have helped support the Congregation. With earning fund credit, the Closing Affair fee is kept minimal – well below the cost of the dinner and entertainment. Make an effort this year to earn those credits and come to the Closing Affair. If you haven’t attended before, make this the year you start. These events are so important in forging and maintaining the bonds between fellow Congregants at NTEH.

Sending out Happy Day cards is easy – just call the office for instructions. Make sure your checks for these cards are marked “Happy Day cards” in the memo line. Similarly, checks to donate to the Century Club should be clearly marked – state it in your enclosure letter, but also write “Century Club” in the memo line on the check. Soliciting ads for the Ad Book prepared for the Closing Affair is particularly important to ensure a nice “fat” book and bring in necessary income. It’s also a great way for to honor friends and family or acknowledge your own business. The ad book packet and instructions was sent out in December.
